An artful, culinary urban adventure

This 4-night WorldScout-designed, self-guided adventure is based near picturesque Ajijic, (pronounced Aah-hee-HEEK), a colonial village with narrow cobblestone streets, colorful houses, beautiful ornate murals, and vibrant local markets. Nestled on the shores of Mexico’s largest freshwater lake, Lake Chapala, Ajijic has a vibrant and bustling energy while still holding onto its relaxed, charming colonial vibe. Ajijic is a tucked away gem, perfect for wandering the streets, perusing the small boutiques and galleries, chatting with vendors selling fresh produce and crafts, and of course, tucking in for a delicious Mexican meal.

From this vibrant basecamp, you will explore all that this diverse, rich region has to offer. On this trip, WorldScout will connect you with the studios of local artists, urban clothing, and jewelry designers. We will schedule a visit to the naturally-detoxifying, mineral-rich, healing thermal pools that surround Lake Chapala (rumor has it, these healing waters will deliver the best night sleep of your life!) and plan a traditional sweat lodge experience (by request). We will help you connect with the budding food scene, which artfully combines both the traditional and the modern.

By booking this WorldScout-designed, self-guided experience, you will gain insider access to this unique region of Mexico and rest-assured knowing that you have an amazing trip planned for you. We do the hard work, you enjoy this incredible and unique adventure - when it works for you, and with the group of your choice!
